A show in the Arti en Amicitiae, Amsterdam

Opening on the 13th of February till the 15th of March 2009, opening with a big party, and closing with an evening where the artists talk about the work, play a song, or show other work dealing with the show etc etc..

its opening in two weeks..
we can start to build up the show on the 5th of februari till the 12th, everyday from 9 am till 5 pm

The idea is in one sentence; To show a work, together with an inspiration, or something from the context of the work, not only to contextualize the work, but also to show that most of the artist involved use the internet, and the fluff on the internet as research material.

Ryan Barone will show his IKB work, where he collected digital representations of the color blue made by Yves Klein (since there is no way to correctly digitally represent that color) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Klein_Blue
I will try to arrange the real International Klein Blue (to show the original / inspiration), and Ryan, can you send me your collection?

Ola Vasiljeva will show her BoyGeorgeMichaelJackson peace as talked about in www.constantdullaart.com/arti.html, Ola will you finish it or need some help?

Martijn Hendricks wanted to work with the comments made on the execution video of sadam houssein, without showing the video,
martijn do you have some more detailed plans how to show something out of the context of the idea?
or any other plans, i still like the redacting, maybe we should buy a reproduction of michaelangelo's David (martijn and bonno were the only ones to tag a lot with the arti tag in delicious btw..)

Pascual Sisto will show a videoprojector beaming an image of itself in the space before all the other art is there, contextualised by a reproduction of caravagio's narcissus (did you find out where to get one of those reproductions yet? any new plans?

Jan Robert Leegte wanted to reproduce the Bruce Nauman work, (picture in www.constantdullaart.com/arti.html ) and show a work where he experemented with overexposure in a sculpture
So Jan Robert, what will it be? a overly lit picture frame? and will you manage? let me know please..

and light them with disco lights in a dark space, so evry time one colour is highlited, and the testpatterns start to flash like animated gifs..

Why not make an exhibition?

Lets do a show in which, like is possible on del.icio.us, the inspiration that leads up to an art work is visable, but now physical, not only existing as a jpeg or url (it can be a poster reproduction of a Malevich, a remake of a sculpture, a print out etc etc). And show this together with the final work that this inspiration led to. A show in which it is clear that del.icio.us influences the participating artists by sharing their references, thereby aiding their research. A show that discusses the development of contemperary semantics in net-art 2 point oooh, by showing different aproaches of artists dealing with the vast information flow of the internet, its dialectics and developing anthropological values. The fact that these mostly young artists are dealing with an abundance of visual representations of previous non net art, and the flirtation with kitch, trash and popculture which dominates the internets will play a big part in the show.

As an example here is a collection made by Ola Vasiljeva and Frank Koolen, in which 3 pop stars are shown holding geometrical shapes. This collection will lead to a work made with these geometrical shapes.

Another example is the "overexposed series" by Jan Robert Leegte, which he tries to bring to a sculpture. As an inspiration he remade this sculpture by Bruce Nauman.
